Ilaria Freccia’s documentary portrays the period between the mid-1960s and 1980s when art in Italy experienced a moment of glory on the international scene. The scene animated by emerging artists, mainly divided between Turin, Rome and Naples, is nourished by a vital and dynamic environment, with continuous and fruitful exchanges between visual arts, theater, literature, music and cinema. Contributions, often unreleased, by Marina Abramovic, Lucio Amelio, Joseph Beuys, Alighiero Boetti, Achille Bonito Oliva, Germano Celant, Mario Franco, Jannis Kounellis, Sergio Lombardo, Mario Merz, Beppe Morra, Paolo Mussat Sartor, Hermann Nitsch, Luigi Ontani, Pino Pascali, Luca Patella, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Paola Pitagora, Lia Rumma, Tucci Russo, Fabio Sargentini, Piero Sartogo, Gian Enzo Sperone, Andy Warhol.
Previewed at the Turin Film Festival 2020 and premiered on Sky Arte on February 1, 2021, the film is now available on Sky on demand and on various platforms.
